CAPC Launches the Palliative Care Program Inventory
Today, CAPC launched it's Palliative Care Program Inventory (Program Inventory), an ongoing national initiative to build the field’s understanding of where and how specialty palliative care programs are operating in both hospital and community settings, and where gaps in access remain.
Now that the Program Inventory is open for data collection, CAPC is calling on specialty palliative care programs across the country to participate by entering program operations data for 2025.* Participation is free and open to all U.S. specialty palliative care programs, regardless of CAPC membership status. The more programs that participate, the clearer our national picture of palliative care will be, and the more actionable the data will be.
Participating programs will help:
- Map access to specialty palliative care across the United States
- Build national data on how programs are structured and deliver care across settings
- Strengthen advocacy to expand equitable access to palliative care
- Create national reports and insights that programs can use
- Inform CAPC resources and technical assistance based on the needs of programs nationwide
*The Program Inventory does not collect any clinical data or protected health information, and program data will be reported publicly only in aggregate. Read the FAQs for more information.
