CAPC Launches New Curriculum: Predicting and Minimizing Risks in Serious Illness
CAPC is excited to announce the launch of its new unit, Predicting and Minimizing Risks in Serious Illness, which offers practical, evidence-based strategies to improve outcomes, while addressing the personal and cultural needs of patients and caregivers.
This curriculum replaces the previous unit, Preventing Crises Through Whole-Patient Care. Take the courses in the new unit to learn techniques for identifying patients at risk for poor outcomes, including falls, delirium, and caregiving challenges; supporting caregivers of people living with serious illness; and planning ahead and coordinating care with members of the interprofessional team to ensure communication and safe care transitions.
CAPC members, take these courses and earn continuing education credits (for physicians, nurses, social workers, and care managers). Free ABIM Maintenance of Certification (MOC) credits are also available for physicians.
