CAPC Endorses Global Campaign for Equitable Access to Pediatric Palliative Care
With millions of children around the world experiencing pain and suffering due to a lack of access to palliative care and essential health services, CAPC is proud to endorse the Close the Gap: Palliative Care for Children Everywhere campaign. Led by the International Children's Palliative Care Network (ICPCN), in coordination with the WHO Palliative Care Working Group, this global campaign calls for urgent, coordinated action to ensure equitable access to children's palliative care for all children, everywhere, without discrimination.
Join the global launch webinar on Thursday, June 18, 2026, 8-9:30 a.m. ET (1-2:30 pm UK) to learn more about the campaign and how you can get involved.
“Access to health care, including palliative care, is a basic human right and should be available to every child who needs it, no matter where they live or what condition they have. It should not depend on geography, so let’s work together to close the gap.” - Professor Julia Downing, CEO, ICPCN
