A study published in the Journal of Palliative Medicine used public-facing videos on Facebook which highlighted empirically supported messaging principles to address the care of people living with serious illness. The results of the promoted video showed that the public is interested in serious illness care; targeted social media helps to reach a defined audience; and a public messaging strategy can be implemented at low cost.
