Programs have been recognized for their efforts in palliative care.

CAPC is proud to support the American Hospital Association's (AHA) announcement of the winners for the 2026 Circle of Life Awards. The award honors programs that ensure equitable access to care, fully integrate palliative care into a system of care or a community, implement nontraditional models of care delivery and payment, and more.

"This year's Circle of Life Award honorees remind us what compassionate care can mean for patients and families during some of life's most difficult moments," said Rick Pollack, AHA president and CEO, adding that the honorees are "making a lasting difference in the lives of their families and communities."

The programs being honored, both CAPC members, include:

  • Erie County Medical Center, Buffalo, N.Y.
  • Geriatrics and Extended Care, Community Living Center, Hospice and Palliative Medicine Team, Orlando VA Health Care System, Orlando, Florida
