Customizable Hospital Palliative Care Impact Calculator
CAPC's new customizable Hospital Impact Calculator allows users to input their own operations—staffing and salaries, total patients seen, initial and follow-up visit mix, and local billing rates—to estimate the total financial impact of their hospital’s palliative care team. Specifically, this calculator estimates the hospital’s direct cost savings and billing revenue, net of expenses.
Palliative care champions can use this tool to advocate for resources and new initiatives and can consider some of the embedded comparisons to national averages as they work to improve operations continuously.
CAPC’s The John A. Hartford Foundation Tipping Point Challenge
Submit an innovative initiative to CAPC's John A. Hartford Foundation Tipping Point Challenge. If you and your team have created an innovative solution that will make positive breakthrough change in the care of serious illness, we want to know! Submissions will be accepted through October 31, 2023.
Awards will be given for inspiring initiatives that stem from all areas of care. These can include, but are not limited to, health equity, COVID-19, upstream palliative care, spread of skills, and much more. All health care organizations and staff are invited to participate. You do not have to be from a CAPC member organization to participate.
