Salem Health is seeking an experienced, full time leader and clinician to oversee our Palliative Care team, as well as provide services to patients of Salem Health.
-Medical Director Scope: Inpatient and Outpatient care, and Administrative duties.
-Team includes: 4.0 FTE Providers; 2.5 FTE Social Worker, 1.0 FTE RN, plus support staff. Access to Chaplains and Ethicists.
-4-day work week.
-Team operates between Sunday – Friday. No inpatient service on Saturday.
-Dedicated dyad business manager and additional dyad Clinical and Operations leadership support.
Our team provides service for diverse medical diagnosis to our patient population, including: end stage liver and renal disease, congestive heart failure, oncology, etc. Our broad scope of service is a direct benefit from established partnerships with many specialties within our organization.
We are committed to elevating our established program, and are working toward accreditation. Our Medical Director will work to expand services to include 7-day/week coverage and 24/7 call, while partnering with the team to host our lunch/learn series: Primary Care Palliative Care Education, building on our established culture within Salem Health.
The program is in its ninth year of practice and prides itself on being a true collaborative and interdisciplinary team. We are proud of the relationships we have developed, including strong support from the organization and a great community presence.
-Guaranteed base compensation + extra shift pay + medical director stipend

You may be a qualified candidate if you:
-Are a graduate from an approved school of medicine.
-Have achieved ABMS/AOA board certification in Hospice and Palliative Medicine.
-Have at least two (2) years of hospital experience in Palliative Care within the past 3 years.
-Hold current, unrestricted MD/DO Oregon medical license.
