Leadership Series: Understanding the Financial Side of Palliative Care Program Leadership
Wednesday, November 172 p.m. - 3 p.m. ET
What level of financial literacy does a palliative care leader need to successfully run a palliative care program? How important is it to understand the larger health care financing environment while developing a business plan? Why should a leader consider their organization’s reimbursement models to determine how the C-suite evaluates its program costs, feasibility, and value? Who do they call on when needing to augment their business expertise?
As part of CAPC’s 2021 Leadership Series, panelists, who represent palliative care programs in organizations with various financial structures, grapple with these questions. Attendees will learn how to define the leader’s role on the business side of palliative care program management, and be able to explain key components to developing a successful business plan with CAPC resources.
