The Elephant in the Room: Overcoming Barriers in Conversation Among Cancer Patients

  • Tuesday, December 17

    3 p.m. - 4 p.m. ET

Palliative care providers may be asked to support patients during discussions of prognosis, values, and advance care planning with their oncology team. While most patients value open communication, barriers to open dialogue exist when broaching these topics. In this session, Nina O’Connor and Jill Farabelli will discuss clinical and system strategies that can be used to promote early and open communication with people living with cancer, about their goals and priorities.

The Master Clinician Series is a discussion group that includes: detailed case study every month, live Q&A with Subject Matter Experts (come with your clinical questions!) & open discussion between participants.
