About the Presentation:

Today, over 40% of all cancer patients in the United States will either not achieve adequate pain relief or will endure significant side effects. Yet, research shows that satisfactory control of pain is possible in about 90% of cancer patients. What are the under-appreciated pain syndromes many cancer survivors must endure daily? How can you incorporate appropriate techniques into your practice? Find out through this audio conference.

You will learn:

  • Identify barriers to adequate pain relief at the end-of-life
  • List components of a thorough pain assessment
  • Describe pharmacological and non-pharmacological therapies used to relieve pain

A Q&A period will follow the presentation.
