ABOUT THE PRESENTATION

A Virtual Palliative Care Unit is an ideal method to meet the specialized needs of palliative care patients, while maximizing flexibility in staffing and room allocation for hospital and nursing administrators. The unit at Froedtert Hospital, within the Medical College of Wisconsin, has been in place for eight years. It provides specialty-level palliative care services amidst a general medicine inpatient unit, complementing the work of the Palliative Care Consultation Service.
