ABOUT THE PRESENTATION:
Modern health care chaplains are trained to assist people of any faith or no faith through difficult transitions. Addressing the spiritual needs of patients and their families is integral and fundamental to the practice of palliative care. However, the role of chaplains today on palliative care teams is rarely limited to one-on-one counseling. They serve as staff support, ethical advisors, family counselors and much more.
This audio conference will explore the role of chaplains within interdisciplinary palliative care teams.
