About the Presentation

Social media/social networking have gone from fads to essential tools in a few short years. The basic concepts of social media and networking are similar to what we experience offline—except the pace is much faster and the volume of information is much greater. In this audio conference, Dr. Sinclair will review the tangible effects of social media for palliative care. The talk will also address simple guidelines to protect patient privacy and reduce risk. Compared to other specialties palliative care already has a jump on social media, but we need a greater presence if we are to make a wider public impact. Learn how to become public advocates with just a few keystrokes.
