About the Presentation

This audio conference will focus on overcoming obstacles faced by pediatric palliative care programs as they initiate, sustain and expand clinical services. Challenges that will be discussed include: strategic internal marketing with an emphasis on physician buy-in; defining the role of the palliative care team in chronic care to avoid overwhelming the service; determining the appropriate clinical model for sustainable services; and anticipating staffing needs. We will also address how to incorporate mechanisms to support sustainable teams in this challenging yet rewarding field.
