About the Presentation
This audio conference will take an in-depth look at two successful counselor models. First a look at a unique counselor model within The Medical Center of Central Georgia, which strongly focuses on the family systems approach used by ten counselors on their interdisciplinary team and outcomes of this model which demonstrate success in a large tertiary hospital. Second, a case study of the palliative care team at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey hospital will describe the shape, composition, origins and scope of practice of the program. Particular attention will be paid to features of the team that play a major role in its influence and success.
