PCLC Overview

Learn from the experience of the experts. Whether you practice in a small community hospital or a major academic medical center, there is no better way to jump-start your program than to attend Palliative Care Leadership CentersSM training.

Six institutions with exemplary palliative care programs, the Palliative Care Leadership CentersSM (PCLC) offer training to help you start or expand your own palliative care program. The initiative has two key components:

  • Training Program. At the core of the PCLC program is an intensive two-day, hands-on training session that will introduce you to all the key concepts necessary to building a successful palliative care program. CME credit is available for physicians.
  • Mentoring. The PCLC program also features a full year of mentoring. Faculty will continue to work one-on-one with you for a full year after your training session to help you overcome any obstacles.

Tuition:

  • $3,500 per team (not per person) of up to four people from one institution
  • $3,250 per team (not per person) for those that include a hospital finance person as a member
  • $200 per each additional person after the fourth
(Teams larger than four are welcome)

"This was an excellent experience for our team. We are leaving with the tools we need to make our program a success."
-Rodney Tucker, MD, University of Alabama, Birmingham
