More About Fairview Health System
Fairview is a seven-hospital system with a system-wide palliative care program that delivers services based on the unique patient population of each setting. Fairview includes the University of Minnesota Medical Center, Fairview and the University of Minnesota Children'sā Hospital, both teaching sites for the University of Minnesota School of Medicine; Fairview Southdale, a suburban hospital which treats an older patient population; and Fairview Ridges, a suburban hospital with an APN-led team that includes palliative care rounds/conferences for critical care patients. Other smaller hospitals in the system offer palliative care by focusing on selected patient populations (e.g., ICU, oncology/infusion) and using existing staff with specialized training.
