Palliative Nurse Practitioner
Hertzberg Palliative Care Institute

The Lilian and Benjamin Hertzberg Palliative Care Institute of the Mount Sinai School of Medicine, located in New York City, is seeking a nurse practitioner for a position within our well-established, nationally recognized, hospital-based palliative care program. This member of the palliative care interdisciplinary team will play a pivotal role in the provision of palliative care consultations for seriously ill patients and their families.

Responsibilities include providing comprehensive medical and psychosocial evaluations of patients and their families, skilled and meticulous symptom management, with extensive involvement and participation in discharge planning and continuity of care efforts. The qualified candidate must possess broad clinical knowledge, demonstrated experience in palliative care, strong theory-based practice, and excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

A master’s degree in nursing and a New York State license are required.
