Types of Information Requested

When purchasing CAPC products or accessing certain CAPC content, information such as name, title, employer, mailing address, telephone number, fax number and email address will be collected. Personal data is secured and password protected.

How Your Information Is Used

CAPC staff will have access to the identifiable information for all website visitors who provide such information.

CAPC will use emails and street addresses provided by applicants to notify them of CAPC updates, products, services, or upcoming events. Applicants who do not wish to receive such notifications via email or regular mail can choose to opt out of receiving such information by contacting CAPC at capc@mssm.edu.

In very limited circumstances, CAPC will provide other palliative care non-profit organizations with the names and addresses of individuals who would benefit from receiving information and communications about products and services that are germane to palliative care health care professionals. Email addresses and phone numbers are excluded from such licensing arrangements.

Non-identifiable visitor data may be used in the aggregate to help shape strategy, design content and evaluate CAPC’s effectiveness.
