I am Carol Babcock, Manager of The Center for Palliative Care at a large tertiary hospital in Middle Georgia. We use Counselors with Masters Degrees in Social Work, Family Therapy, etc. as the lead role in our Palliative Program. Our counselors can receive referrals from nurses, physicians and even family members which allows us to begin building relationships with the patient/family and the physicians. They bridge the communication gap between the physicians and our clinical palliative team. email or call if you want to discuss. babcock.carol@mccg.org 478-633-8049
