Would anyone be willing to share their nursing competencies with us as we set up our peds palliative care program? We have ours defines but want to make sure they are in line with what others are doing.

You may already have checked this resource: "Professional Competencies for the Gernlaist Hospice and Pallaitive Care Nurse" from the Hospice and Palliative Nurses Association ( www.hpna.org). For pediatric palliative care, another resource would be ELNEC-pediatric course--although it may not include specific competencies, it would give you an idea of the additional content appropriate for pediatric nurses.
