Hi. I am the Director of Psychosocial Services at a pediatric cancer center on Long Island, NY. My colleagues and I run a small but powerful palliative care program as part of our oncology unit. I will be giving several lectures on end of life issues in and around New York in the coming weeks. You can refer to my website.....NormanFried.com for informtion and directions to any of the lectures. In addition, I have published a book entitled The Angel Letters: Lessons That Dying Can Teach Us About Living, available at any bookstore or on line at Amazon.com. The book describes in intimate detail how doctors, nurses and psychotherapists all work together in our Center to create a caring environment for dying children to express their wishes and their needs.
I hope this information can be helpful to you and your program.
Best,
Norman Fried
