Hello--sorry for the delay in response, I wasn't sure who this question was directed to (do your physicians...). In any case, I'll try to provide some info. MDs don't need a contract with a hospice agency to provide care post discharge, but the hospital needs a contract if the patient will return to the hospital under the Medicare Hospice Benefit for acute or respite care. Let me know if you need more info.
