Do your physicians have contracts with one or more local hospices so that your MDs can follow your patients once they've left the hospital? If so, is your program in a hospital that is 1) university based; 2) government based; 3) for profit or 4) not-for-profit?

Hello--sorry for the delay in response, I wasn't sure who this question was directed to (do your physicians...). In any case, I'll try to provide some info. MDs don't need a contract with a hospice agency to provide care post discharge, but the hospital needs a contract if the patient will return to the hospital under the Medicare Hospice Benefit for acute or respite care.
