You might want to contact Hospice of Orange and Sullivan Counties. This is in New York State. I don't think they are doing home visits, though. I think a home health agency is able to bill for the services of a CRNP, but not a hospice. If the NP is working directly for the hospice, I don't think you can bill for her/his services. Where are you located?

On the subject of billing for NP services by a New York State hospice: State law allows hospices to do palliative services, and this year the law was amended to allow hospices to bill government sources for palliative care. I believe this enables a hospice to bill both private insurance, as well as Medicare Part B and Medicaid, for the consultation services of a nurse practitioner. The patient cannot be a hospice patient if you are going to bill for consulting services. If the patient is enrolled in hospice, you can only bill for the NP if she/he is acting as the attending physician.
