Appointments in our palliative care clinic are 60 minute initial evaluations with a physician or advanced practice nurse and 30 minute follow-ups. Patients also meet with a clinical social worker. These appointments are 60 minutes for both initial evaluation and follow-up, similar to behavioral outpatient appointment times. If you are following a patient in clinic known to the team from the inpatient setting, it may be possible to decrease the time of the initial MD/APN appointment.
