Regarding our own program, I asked Dr. Leanne Yanni, the attending physician for our PC outpatient clinic in our ambulatory cancer center, to share what they do there. She says, "Right now, I'm handling this by accepting to see chronic pain ONLY if there is trouble in managing it not due to prescription drug misuse issues AND as a consultant for up to 3 visits to evaluate and stabalize. We do not offer ongoing chronic pain management for typical noncancer pain. However, we will take several very unique cases such as complex regional pain syndrome or cases that need advanced management over an extended period of time."
Let us know what you think.
