Post COPD Palliative Care Information

Was I not excited to find this forum. I am a Master's student at Calfornia State University, Fullerton working on my clinical hours for a hospice program. Part of my clinical time is for my change project towards trying to develop a COPD palliative care program for them developing algorithms / medications, palliative criteria, etc that can help guide a nurse that may be on call to assist the patient or family via telecommunication versus a visit to the ER. Being new to palliative care I am looking for some guidance if any one may be able to help with any documention, resources or suggestions. Thank you for your assitance. The Hopsice and Palliative Care Nurses Association (hpna.org) may has some resources you might be interested in, though they are print form and you would have to order. You can also check out the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization (nhpco.org) for information on local resources. Utilizing local resources may be your best bet though.
