I serve as the lead chaplain for a long term care retirement community in central pennsylvania. I am looking for resources such as a book that has been helpful in gaining an understanding of palliative care. Thank You!

I don’t have any specific wisdom here as far as palliative care in your particular setting. However, I would recommend the book by Betty Ferrell and Christina Puchalski, Making Healthcare Whole, which provides the best models for spiritual care in palliative care, including in the outpatient and community settings. I also highly recommend as a primer in palliative care Diane Meier’s edited volume called Palliative Care: Transforming the Care of Serious Illness.
