Many pt's are approp for palliative care input from pain and symptom management to decision-making and options to withdrawal of support discussions. My trauma nursing experience helps me to help families look at the "big picture" and future needs, such as the severely brain injured pt. I participate in many family conferences and assist with decision-making.
