Hi Cynthia - I'm small too - a .25 FTE position for a 50 bed hospital within a bigger system, and occassionally overwhelmed and jealous of all these bigger programs with all their resources. We need to capitalize on the strengths that we have, and we're looking to the Unit Champions model of identifying nurses who already show an interest-aptitude, and training them first using the ELNEC materials. I also liked some of the forms that were in the JCAHO resource that Betty provided at the end of her talk.
I'd be glad to network with you too - where are you in starting your program?
