It's surprising there have not been more postings regards burnout. I suspect we under-recognize this phenomenon. Perhaps others see this as a sign of weakness, but it occurs far more often than we acknowledge. Have heard some mention of this in recent palliative care conferences, but feel that if we could only "surface" this, there would be more literature/options out there. Could it be that if we speak more of this we will discover its true prevalence?
