Hi--sorry it took so long to respond; been doing self-care on vacation. Your point about appreciating others was just raised by someone on my team this week--on the one hand, I agree that we never can say it enough, especially for the ordinary. On the other hand, I find many practitioners who have difficulty acknowledging to themselves the good work they do--that self acknowledgement is really more important I think. Re: a resource for team research, here is a very academic book: Teamwork in Palliative Care; Peter Speck (ed) Oxford Press, 2006; tons of data about all sorts of team issues.
