A palliative care physician in our area gave an inservice on pain management for persons with dementia at the monthly SPIN meeting (Senior Provider Information Network). This is a monthly breakfast meeting where local professionals involved in eldercare come to learn and network. Members range from attorneys to pharmacists, financial planners to the Area Agency on Aging folks. Many of the attendees are from skilled nursing and assisted living facilities , thus the speaker made a LOT of connections.
