Greetings, all,
We are developing a partnership with our hospital and hospices to provide IP care for some of our patients. We use electronic medical records to document, get meds, charge, etc. Has anyone experience with the details of incorporating a contracted outside hospice into a setting with EMR's? We're getting stumped with issues of access, confidentiality, etc. Any ideas would be helpful! Thanks, Diane Ranna, NP

Our hospice is a part of the health care system of our three hospitals and we have been able to access essential records. I'm sure it is challenging to negotiate an agreement dealing with the EMR. I'm sorry I don't have much to offer.
