Our hospital is switching from a Meditec EMR to EPIC. Does anyone with an inpatient consultation services currently use EPIC? If so, does your team document as a single provider or does each discipline have to document individually? What do we need to be thinking about as we move into our building stage?

We are in the process of tranistioning from a paper system to Genesis EMR and in our exploration with the IT folks we are looking at using one of the Interdisciplinary Conference screens to document the IDT process. The disciplines will then use their documentation section to further outline how they will achieve the goals as set forth at the IDT planning. Hopefully you can get some feedback from someone who is currently using the system you will be transitioning to.
