In Oregon we have one of the lowest rates of in hospital deaths and one of the highest rates of death in private homes, community based care facilities and nursing homes.
I don't have any specific research data on the quality of deaths for persons dying in nursing homes.
We have a list of POLST related reserach that includes clients in nursing homes on the www.polst.org website, under the research tab.
