Post POLST patients dying in nursing homes
Author: juliegethics

followup question from POLST and palliative care teleconference.
When a POLST prgram is set in place, Susan Tolle said that more patients would die in place, in nursing homes or at home, hopefully with hospice. How is that effecting the capacities of hospice and palliative care programs? Do we know anything about the quality of deaths for these people?
