We are starting something similar here. As aSpiritual Care Professional, my thoughts are if we can provide for the staff to "work off" some of their stress from dealing with palliative patients, they will be healthier all the way around and they won't be off work as much. We have been collecting exercise equipment from garage sales in order to make an "exercise" romm, have had yoga classes taught by one of the recreational therapists, and we have contacted Weight Watchers for the at work program so they can learn to take care of themselves. We are hoping to launch this, during Spiritual and Religious Care Awareness week in October.
