Post Get to Know Me Posters

In a large urban acute care facility, we are wanting to implement the "Get to Know Me Posters" in our critical care units. We have accessed the poster design that was used by Massachusetts General Hospital, but has anyone else had experience implementing this initiative and could offer suggestions. Additionally information for linking with mentoring facilities that have used the "Get to Know Me" poster.

Great idea, we have no such experience, but we have inundated the institution with pamphlets related to the role of palliative care in an effort increase pt/family awareness of this role and potential service which may be available. Also we actively in-service all units and disciplines in our institution regarding the role of palliative care. We conduct at least 2 ELNEC courses annually to help increase awareness; these also all in increase our consults. Finally we offer all staff the ability to shadow us for a day or a few hours to gain greater insight as to what we palliative care do. Does this help?
