We are revisiting job descriptions for our program in Indianapolis and having some trouble defining what some rolls should entail, especially our social worker. We would like to team up with a few other teaching and/or city hospitals with consult services. We would like to have our social worker shadow other programs to see if we are in line with how other such hospital programs operate. If interested, please send me an email.

We have a GREAT social worker here at St Francis Beech Grove, as part of our Palliative Team. She has just begun to work with a social work student for a semester, so I don't know if she would be open to your suggestion right now,BUT.....if you send me your email address, I can have her get in touch with you.

As you are developing your MSW component I would encourage you to take a look at the Core Competencies that have been developed for Palliative MSW's: NASW Standards for Social Work Practice in Palliative and End of Life Care.
