A long term care facility needs a film on Palliative Care to include in the new employee orientation. The majority of the new staff are certified nursing assistants and LPNs.
It is important to have a film that is introductory, not necessarily one that is specific to a nursing home. Additional education will be provided after orientation.

A wonderful, moving, and basic series that includes the perspectives of all those involved (patients, family, clinicians) would be On Our Own Terms, by Bill Moyers. This has a number of segments that can be watched at different times and would be a great starting point for group discussion.
