You may want to check with San Diego Hospice at SDHospice.org. I seem to recall hearing that they were doing a study on it, although I don't know where they are with it, if finished, or results...

MD Anderson has studied this and has a policy to allowing it to be performed on inpatients on the palliative care unit.. I would contact Kelli Gershon at khgersho@mdanderson.org for info. She is very helpful.
