Post Palliative Care in Suburban Hospitals
Author: SandySchellinger
Date: Dec 3, 2007 2:01 pm

I am the Palliative Care Director for our Health System which has 4 metro hospitals and 5 regiona/suburban hospitals. We have MD/NP consultative resources in our Metro hospitals which are very busy. I feel somewhat challenged on how to provide palliative care in our suburban hospitals where the volume of patients would not support an FTE for an MD or NP. I would like to hear from programs that have developed palliative care services in rural hospitals and what they look like. Sandy Schellinger
