Hello--I'd be interested in why you are asking the question?
I am not aware of any specific data; however, it is highly recommended that all hospital-based palliative care programs have physician involvement; at a miminum, physician(s) available for:
complex symptom assessment;
complex symptom management;
working with referring physicians on complex/emotional decision-making;
leading, or assisting the referring physician, in complex family meetings.
