Is there somewhere it is stated when visits are to occur with a pt is admitted under GIP. Thanks in advance.

Thank you for your post. Further evaluation would need to be made as to whether there are any possible regulations that determines the frequency or timing of GIP physician visits.
Dr. Nash at UAB states:
However, if a patient meets criteria for General Inpatient (GIP) it is clearly best practice for a physician or mid-level provider to see the patient on at least daily basis if not more often as needed due to severity and complexity of disease.
