Inpatient hospice can be created as a service in the context of a full service hospice program following the CMS guidelines for hospice programs. Inpatient hospice can not be a stand alone service. I would encourage you to contact a local hospice program that you have confidence in and could interview to consider partnering with and also the CMS guidelines.
