Can anyone share their staffing ratios for full time dedicated palliative care program nurses under the Medicare certified home health benefits?

Staffing ratios would be determined by the role of the nurse, i.e. APN vs. RN. Location of patient population, administrative responsibilities, etc. I'm not aware of Medicare specifying any staffing ratios. Best wishes as you develop your program. We are in a rural area in Maine, if the RN sees only palliative Care patients, then the expected caseload would be 24-30. We weight our hospice patients as 2, so if it was a mixed Hospice/Palliative Care caseload, it'd be 12 palliative care and 6 hospice patients. The nurses' average daily mileage is 20-50 miles depending on the county in which they work.
