Post Foundation Grant for CAPC Training/Mentoring

We are attempting to build a Palliative Care Team. We have a Director/Coordinator who is also LCSW-C (also runs the HOPE Couseling Program) and a Physician who is available for .25 FTE's. We have many barriers to overcome and very limited resources. Seeking help on how to get funding for CAPC Training/Mentoring when there are no hospital funds (I am located in Mission Integration).

Congratulations on your efforts to build a palliative care program and begin to find people to help you! Others have faced similar barriers, and fortunately, there are free or low cost resources to help. You may have already reviewed the CAPC website for "building a program" articles, tools and resources. The "Guide to Building a Hospital Based Pallaitive Care Program" is a manual that is often affordable and provides great information.
Linking your program goals with Mission Integration is a place to start to "make the case." Best of luck in moving this forward--patients, families and colleagues will greatly benefit from your work.
