Post hospice beds on inpt mortality reporting

Our hospital is considering adding hospice beds to our inpatient unit with the hope of decreasing hospital mortality. Does anyone know of any recent changes (in the last few months)on whether inpatient hospice pts are counted toward hospital mortality?

I'm not aware of any updates to the reporting on mortality. As you know there are several different sources that provide these reports. I The CAPC website posts updates as they become available so I'd keep an eye on the activity there.
