prior to building a database for my large integrated health system I was wondering if there are any databases around or registries for palliative care. It would heve to be very detailed, be able to input hundreds of data points on thousands of patients. Need to be able to store, analyze, and report. Customizable to some extent.

There is a company that has a data base product for palliative care. The website: http://www.lspragens.com/software.htm
You could contact them and if you like, they have a demo that they could send out. The three primary areas of palliative data collection are financial, clinical and satisfaction. I refer you to an article authored by Weissman, et al. for recommendations of data points to collect:
